APPLICATION AS AN IYRES RESEARCH EXPERT, EX-OFFICIO OR EVALUATION PANEL MEMBER
The Institute for Youth Research (IYRES) welcomes applications from experts, academics, researchers, industry practitioners, and other qualified individuals to serve as Research Experts, Ex-Officio Members, or Evaluation Panel Members in research studies, programme evaluations, instrument development, research report reviews, and other youth research and development activities undertaken by IYRES.
Areas of Expertise Required
IYRES is currently strengthening its database of experts in the following areas:
- -Youth Development
- -Sports Culture and Participation
- -Youth Economics
- -Youth Health
- -Youth Safety and Security
- -Political Socialisation
- -Education and Skills Training
- -Digitalisation and Technology
- -Youth Leadership
- -Social Well-being
- -Volunteerism and Nation-Building
- -Youth Psychology and Behaviour
- -Other areas related to youth development
Eligibility Criteria for Research Experts
A Research Expert refers to an individual who possesses significant expertise, experience, knowledge, and contributions in a specific field of specialisation and is able to provide professional advice and guidance on research-related matters.
Applicants must fulfil at least one (1) of the following criteria:
- -Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree from a higher education institution recognised by the Government of Malaysia; or
- -Have served as a Principal Investigator for at least three (3) research projects at the national or international level; or
- -Have a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in a relevant field of expertise; or
- -Have a recognised record of publications, scholarly writings, or research outputs within their area of expertise.
Preference will be given to applicants who:
- -Hold a Master's Degree or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD);
- -Possess professional qualifications recognised at the national or international level; and/or
- -Are actively involved in research, consultancy, or policy development related to their field of expertise.
Eligibility Criteria for Ex-Officio Members or Evaluation Panel Members
Ex-Officio Members or Evaluation Panel Members refer to individuals appointed based on their position, experience, expertise, or strategic role that may contribute to the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of research activities.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- -Possess relevant expertise and experience in the subject area under study;
- -Have extensive collaborative networks with stakeholders, government agencies, non-governmental organisations, industry players, or other relevant parties;
- -Have experience as an industry practitioner, policymaker, or programme implementer in the relevant field; and
- -Be capable of providing strategic input, professional perspectives, and sharing best practices related to their area of expertise.
